History

Rico, Pfitzer, Pires & Associates Insurance Agency was founded in 1968 by Frank Rico and is currently owned by Frank’s son, John Rico..

In 1985, Frank Rico recruited his son, John, into the family business. Since joining the company founded by his father, John has continued to uphold the same values and principles that have been the cornerstone of their success. John Rico has been immersed in insurance his entire life. He graduated from California State University Hayward in 1984 with a degree in Business and Marketing. Before joining the company, John had been playing professional football in Canada and coaching at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA.
